Navin Valrani is the chief executive officer of 11 companies within the UAE-based, private, family-owned industrial conglomerate Al Shirawi Group, which includes several businesses operating in the UAE’s construction sector: Al Shirawi Contracting, Al Shirawi Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Al Shirawi Interiors, Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction, Al Shirawi Facilities Management, and the joint-venture Al Shirawi US Chillers.
Between July 2017 and June 2018, these companies anticipate revenue of $450m (AED1.65bn), demonstrating strong growth from the preceding 12-month period, when revenue of $400m (AED1.47bn) was recorded.
With activities focusing on the UAE, and in particular on the emirates of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, the companies within Valrani’s remit have been working on an array of projects. Al Shirawi Electrical & Mechanical Engineering has completed work on projects at Dubai’s Emirates Flight Training Academy and the luxury residential development in Downtown Dubai, 118 Downtown. Al Shirawi Contracting, meanwhile, delivered waterproofing projects at Abu Dhabi’s Al Maryah Central mall; Emaar’s twin-tower residential development at Dubai Creek Harbour, Harbour Views; and Phases 3 and 4 of Dubai’s creek-side destination Marsa Al Seef. And Al Shirawi Interiors completed its projects at Dubai’s Bvlgari Residences on Jumeirah Bay Island and at the Bluewaters development.
Currently, Al Shirawi Interiors is in the process of delivering complete fit-out projects for Dubai’s Cityland Mall and Silicon Park, while Al Shirawi Contracting is conducting waterproofing work at Emaar’s Il Primo residences and The Address Residences Dubai Opera in Downtown Dubai. Al Shirawi Electrical & Mechanical Engineering is working on Tiara United Towers and Atria Tower in Dubai’s Business Bay, and Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction is carrying out fibre optic ducting works for telecoms operator Du.
